In the “Let’s Play Metal Gear Solid 2!” thread on SomethingAwful, a forumgoer by the name of Beastruction suggested Revolver Ocelot would become “Resolver Ocelot” were he to become a judge. Franziska obliged with a rendition of the Judge as Resolver.

I felt it necessary to continue this idea.

Ultimately, it led to a fantastic remix by fivegears4reverse.

Still working on concept art and characters for THE PROJECT, which will probably end up trumping Dead Clowns as my debut story because it’s become more interesting.

Then again, I might just combine them somehow. WHO KNOWS?

Also this should auto-post to LiveJournal. Not sure how well that’ll work out, but there’s only one way we can know for sure. That said: I’ll be making some attempt to integrate LiveJournal and this site to make comments more easily accessible. I know not everybody uses email or wants to bother with it, and it’s not exactly the most social way to hear from you guys – but then when I had this site open to comments, it was either spam or utter silence.

So! Maybe that’ll work out.

And it’d be good to have an actual comment system in place once the comics start up for real, so there’s that.

A quick warmup sketch for a bigger piece of fan art I’ll be doing later. You may recognize this … white-ish rabbity thing from a certain crimefighting duo.

Remember kids: pinky out! Justice never sacrifices proper etiquette.

I got almost nothing done during the month of February – nothing fun, anyway – so I needed to break the artistic slump with something intensive. This is the first major color picture I’ve ever done, and certainly the first that didn’t rely on line art. Funny that it would be a fan piece for Muramasa, a fantastic game I played last year. After attending the Picasso exhibit in Philly (in spite of February threatening to make me cancel the trip with my dad), I decided it was time to pay tribute to George Kamitani with some painterly-looking technique.

So here we are after twelve-ish total hours and a staggering number of color tests. This is new territory for me so I’m still very slow, but I certainly wouldn’t mind more practice.

I also have a new appreciation for pink and purple.
